How does the technology in LIPO-SACHETS® work?2022-03-23T16:54:06+13:00

LIPO-SACHETS® contain vitamin C, vitamin D or Iron encapsulated in LIPOSHELL® liposomes. These liposomes are bubbles with the center containing an aqueous solution, surrounded by a double phospholipid bilayer. Vitamin C & Iron are suspended in the water containing region of the liposome and vitamin D is suspended in the phospholipid bilayer.

The liposome acts as a protective carrier for the vitamin C or D, enabling it to be transported throughout the body without being degraded by digestive enzymes, oxygen or interacting with other medications, resulting in high bioavailability and high absorption – without gastric upsets (see technology).

What do Vitamin C LIPO-SACHETS® taste like?2021-06-02T14:26:42+12:00

If you’re new to liposomal vitamin C, be aware that the initial taste may not be what you’re used to. However, with repeated daily use your taste buds will become accustomed to the distinctive taste and you will begin to discover the health benefits that Vitamin C Lipo-Sachets® are intended to provide.

Our Vitamin C Lipo-Sachets® are the real, unadulterated taste of liposomal Vitamin C, unchanged by the addition of solvents or additives like alcohol, sweeteners, artificial flavours, or thickeners. The unusual taste is the result of sodium being added to ascorbic acid to produce the vitamin C in Lipo-Sachets® and the absence of nasties like artificial sweeteners and flavours which are often added to mask this taste.

For kids (and adults), we have introduced VITAMIN C LIPO-SACHETS® Blackcurrant, which they may prefer, as it includes the addition of a natural blackcurrant flavour. As with the original flavour, the blackcurrant variants are free from alcohol, sweeteners, or artificial flavours. The 500mg strength for children has a reduced concentration of sodium ascorbate, which should make the taste more acceptable to kids, but still without the nasty additives in most standard vitamin C products.

How do you take LIPO-SACHETS®?2021-06-02T14:27:19+12:00

It can be taken directly from the sachet by those already accustomed to the distinctive taste of liposomal vitamin C. For those new to the taste, we recommend mixing the contents of the sachet with a small amount (approx. 60ml) of a cool, still beverage or chase it with a breakfast drink (e.g., smoothie) of your choice. You could even try it folded into a little of your favourite yoghurt.

Note: Do not blend, process, or dissolve the contents of the sachet in hot liquid. We do not recommend that you add the contents to a full glass of beverage.
